Estimates from a model. They depend entirely on the assumptions entered and are neither a guarantee of performance nor a guarantee of obtaining funding. The model assumes independent positions and a constant win rate: see the method page for the full list of its limits.
A prop firm challenge is rarely lost on strategy and often on the rules: a daily loss limit breached on a volatile day, a trailing drawdown caught after a good run. With a given win rate and risk-reward ratio, the probability of reaching the target before hitting a limit can be calculated.
The simulator draws thousands of random trade sequences from your parameters and counts those that pass the challenge. It also calculates, without simulation, your risk budget: the margin left before each limit of the chosen program.
Risk per trade outweighs everything else: too low, the target isn't reached in the allotted time; too high, an ordinary losing streak is enough to breach the limit. Next come your real win rate and risk-reward ratio, measured in a journal rather than assumed, then the type of drawdown, fixed or trailing.
The calculation runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is sent.
